Support Lacee's journey and fight against CRPS

In March, I had a skiing accident where I twisted my knee, I had a bone bruise and some tendinopathy, but was getting better slowly with PT. On April 13th, I had cortisone shot to "help" with any swelling. This cortisone shot went extremely bad, which started as allergic reactions, and then I had increased pain in my knee along pain in my calf. I was also having nerve pain, intense swelling in my knee and calf. I am now also having "burning" all over my body. After going to a new Ortho doctor, she diagnosed me with CRPS (formerly called RSD). This is a very progressive disease that spreads through the whole body causing pain. I am still in the early stage and grateful I can still somewhat walk; however, I can't do steps anymore ( and it has spread to my left thumb already). Most people end up in wheelchairs or even bedridden from this awful disease. If you have seen me lately at a show, then you can tell I have not been my normal self. I have done TONS of research on this disease, and I will tell you that the nerve blocks they want you to do for treatment will not work. Plus, there is NO medication that works for this. They call is the suicide disease for a reason. After much research, I found a doctor who is having amazing results with her CRPS ( she is only one of 4 doctors in the world with her expertise). After reading her articles/notes/book on CRPS, I feel she completely understands this disease and knows how to treat the cause of this terrible disease. I will leave you the link to her website as well as a video that shows some of her patients. This treatment is very expensive, but it is worth everything to me to have my health back again!
